At SNU, she has served as a keyboardist and worship leader for chapel through the 2017–2018 and 2018–2019 school years. She was a singer and worship leader on SNU’s touring worship team, Remedy, in the summer of 2018. She has served as a church pianist for 8 years in both traditional and contemporary styles, playing frequently for camps, district events, and revivals. In addition to her classical training, she also has experience with MainStage and other DAW software, creating her own patches for live performance using MIDI capabilities.
She is a current student of Dr. Bryan Powell and has also received instruction from Dean of Humanities Dr. Steve Betts. Though SNU’s ministerial internship program, she serves as a worship leader and ministry intern at First Korean Church of the Nazarene.
Leah began playing piano at age 6 and has continued to study in classical and modern styles since. She was the winner of the OMTA junior auditions in 2007, the 3rd place winner of the Weatherford Juanita Hubbard Competition in 2008, and the winner of the Regional Main Event Talent Competition at Northwest Nazarene University for a prize of a $1000 scholarship in 2012. She has had 7 years of accompanying experience and has worked most recently as an accompanist for Southern Nazarene University’s Concert Choir, the rehearsals of Southern Nazarene University’s The Wizard of Oz (2018), and for solo and ensemble for middle school and high school band students at Oklahoma Christian School (2018 and 2019).
Leah is a current undergraduate student pursuing a B.A. in Music and Pastoral Ministry from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma as of August 2017.
