Piano and Voice
Emilia Mekuria is in her senior year of pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Piano and Voice at Southern Nazarene University.
Since the age of five Emilia was taught classical piano at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri. Along with numerous piano and choir recitals, Emilia has been involved with music at church. Her first accompaniment job was at Calvary Baptist in Missouri. Since then she has volunteered at Fellowship at Western Oaks and Reaching Our City Nazarene Church.
Emilia has lots of experience interacting with youth of all ages through leading VBS, assisting youth in Celebrate Recovery, being a camp counselor at Camp Fire Heart of Oklahoma, and leading art classes at Rogers County Youth Services in Claremore, Oklahoma.
Emilia hopes to encourage young students to love music as much as she does by playing the piano. Learning music is an amazing outlet for young students to express how they are feeling tangibly.
